California Institute of Technology generally abbrebiated as Caltech is located in Pasadena, California. It is furnished at 124 acres of land with facing northeast of downtown Los Angeles. Caltech, the 6th university in America is service corporation and is governed by 46-member board of trustees. It is divided into 6 primary academic divisions i.e., biology and biological engineering, chemistry and chemical engineering, geological and planetary science, humanities and social science,engineering and applied science and at last physics, mathematics and astronomy. Caltech stood on  the 1st position internationally by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Also, it was well known for its excellence in engineering and technology and physical science. Caltech runs both undergraduate and graduate programmes. 

Facilities at Caltech

One can access to library at no boundaries. Millikan Library, Dabney Library, Sherman Fairchild Library, Geology Library, Cahill Library and Archieves are the search out engines for students. Library at CALTECH are blessed with thousands of books & journals, articles, databases and guides. Moreover, CALTECH supports athelets too. CALTECH shelters undergraduates at Blackers House, Dabney House, Fleming House, Rickkets House at the south. It is home for undergraduates students in the north namely: Lloyd House, Page House, Ruddock House and Avery House. Caltech is also concerns about performings and visual art. Caltech has its own orchestra composed of staff, faculty members and students. It has two Jazz Brands and Concert Bands, and vocally has Glee Club and Chamber Singer group. And TACIT is the producer of the PHD Movie.

Student Life at Caltech

Caltech Scholars hold Millikan pumpkin-drop experiment from the highest point of campus, from he top of Millikan Library, every Halloween. Similarly senior students prevent junior students from entering classrooms by hiding booby traps on the entrances. So the administration has to cancel all the classes on the ditch day. Not last but the least, Caltech students are also well known for pranks and are rivals of Massachusetts Institute of Technology's students.

Caltech enrolls more than 1000 undergraduate students and about 1500 graduate students annually. The 4-year graduation rate is 79% and the 6-year graduation rate is 92%.
