The University of Toronto is a public research University which was founded by the royal charter in 1827 as a King's College. This University is located at the Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is situated at the Queen's Park. University of Toronto is controlled by Church of England.This University is also the collegiate University. There are twelve colleges. The two satellite campuses which are located at Mississauga and Scarborough.The motto of this University is Velut arbor aevo which is the Latin word. In English it means As a tree through the ages.

The total Endowment of C$2.142 billion which has  got the 2.547 Academic staffs and 4,590 Administrative staffs. Similarly, The Total Undergraduates of 42,700 and 15,586 post graduates. The area of the campus is 71 hectares or 180 acres.The University's main undergraduate faculty is the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. This univesity is very popular in the literary criticism, communication theory and school of thought.

History of University of Tokyo

The University of Tokyo was introduced by Meiji Government in 1877 A.D. while t was renamed the Imperial University in 1886 and again Tokyo Imperial University in 1897. Kikuchi Dairoku served as the president of Tokyo Imperial University. The earthquake in 1923 destroyed about 700,000 volumes of books among which 10,000 books belonged to Hoshino Library. After Japan's defeat in 1947, the university restored at it's original name, "University of Tokyo".

The Tuition fee annually for the research student is ¥346,800 per annum and as per auding student : ¥14,800 per credit per year. The Annual fee for undergraduates is ¥535,800, ¥535,800 for 1 year for post graduates, ¥520,800 annually for doctoral studies and ¥804,000 per year for school of law.

There are five campuses in University of Tokyo. Hongo Campus is one the finest campus among them, it is best landmark place of the university. Komamba campus is the college of arts and science. This is the center for undergraduates and is at excellence state for areas of research. The Shirokanedai Campus is smaller in comparison to others which hosts Institute of Medical Science. Kashiwa Campus is the graduate school of Frontier Science. It is made from Trans-disciplinary sciences, Bio-sciences, environmental sciences and Computational Biology. And at last, Nakano Campus is the home of two undergraduate schools: first the School of Global Japanese Studies and the School of Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences.

Student Life at Caltech

Caltech Scholars hold Millikan pumpkin-drop experiment from the highest point of campus, from he top of Millikan Library, every Halloween. Similarly senior students prevent junior students from entering classrooms by hiding booby traps on the entrances. So the administration has to cancel all the classes on the ditch day. Not last but the least, Caltech students are also well known for pranks and are rivals of Massachusetts Institute of Technology's students.
