The Melbourne University is the public research University of Australia. It is located at the Melbourne, Victoria which was founded in 1853. This University is the second oldest university of the Australia as well as the oldest in the Victoria. 

According to the Times Higher Education the Melbourne University ranks 33rd position in the world. Talking about the 2015 QS world University Subject Rankings this university is ranked 5th position in the world for the education. Similarly, the positions 13th in computer science, IT, 8th in law, 13th in arts and humanities. The main campus is located in Parkville. There are mainly 12 colleges located at the main campus which offers the academic programs, cultural programs as well as the sports. This university has got the different 11 academic units which are associated with the various institutes. The Grattan Institute, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Florey Institute f Neuroscience and Mental Health, Melbourne Institute of Applied Economics.

There are twelve residential colleges where the seven colleges are found at the northern edge and the other five are found outside the university grounds. This University provides the brilliant course study and provides the easy residence.
