Introduction of Seoul National University 


Seoul University
Seoul National University is the Korean University which is the national research Uinversity. This University is located in the capital city of Korea Seoul. It was established in 1946, also it is marked as the most popular University in the country. There are mainly three campuses among them the main campus is in Gwanal and the other two campuses are on the Pyeongchang and Daehangno. The University consists of the sixteen colleges where the nine colleges are the professional and one is the graduate school.

There are over 17000 undergraduate students and 11000 graduate students according to the data of the KEDI. The most amazing part of the university is it spends more to students per capita income comparing with the any other university of the country. There are 700 institutions of the University in the 40 other countries. The academic exchange program with the University of Pennsylvania, Duke University MIT sloan School of Management, Peking University, Yale school of Management etc.

Merging of the University


The ten institutions has been merged for the establishment of the Seoul National University which are listed below:

Facilities at the Seoul National UniversityLibrary

Library of  Seoul National University
Main Library has been featured as the digital library which includes the ancient texts, images, insects and the lecture slides. The library is can be found behind the administrative building in the 62 block which is of the Gwanak Campus. The library holds the collection of the books was four million volumes. The digital library runs the university seminars. exhibitions, science exhibition etc. This library is known as the central library of the Seoul National University. The main library was divided into 12 annexes for the ease for the study of the different faculties such as education, engineering,art, law, physics, pharmacology, dentistry, music, medicine, theology etc. 

Rest hole
In 1968 the newspaper library and the liberal arts was added which makes the 14 annexes. Similarly the music and art libraries were added. Kyujanggak is the royal library which is also known as the Gyujanggak of the Joseon Dynassty. The establishment of this library was done by the King Jeongjo of Joseon in 1776 in which this library was located on the grounds of te Changdeokgung Palace.


Museum

This national university is found at the Gwanak Campus. Seoul National University of art is the famous art museums which was contributed by the Samsung Cultural Foundation. This was established in 1995 which was designed by the Dutch architect. The main feature of this building was forward area which appears to be floating in the air.
