the University of Michigan is the public research University which was founded in 1817 in Detroit. This University is located at the Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. Also Michigan is the oldest University of the state.The University has expanded more than 584 major buildings. The total combined area of more than 34 million gross square feet.This University is also the founder member of Association of American Universities. Michigan University is one of the foremost University in the United States.

The graduate programs of the University are the directorial degrees in social sciences, humanities, Technology, Science, Engineering and Mathematics. The professional degrees in law, medicine, architecture, nursing, social work, dentistry, pharmacy and business. According to 2012 the living alumni comprises more than 500,00. The University Constructed many new facilities which includes buildings for the chemistry, large hospitals, residence halls, pharmacy programs and the library facilities in 1866. The campus is divided into the four main areas :

Ann Arbor, Michigan University
North, South, Central and Medical campuses. The main campus is at the Ann Arbor which was moved in 1837.
